Online counselling for men.

Often free, always anonymous and whenever it suits you.

Here you will find counsellors who know what men go through. Separation, fatherhood, anger and exhaustion, and anything that is too much right now. You write when you have time, or you talk by video. A pseudonym is all you need.

What is on your mind?

From here on, real counsellors help you, not AI.

1 counsellor is in the directory right now. Counselling in German.

In danger right now? Emergency number 112. Telefonseelsorge (German crisis line), day and night: 0800 111 0 111.

Does this sound familiar?

  • At work you stay calm and smart. At home you are on edge and lose it.
  • You get loud and angry, and five minutes later you are annoyed with yourself.
  • You say “all good” and disappear to the toilet with your phone.
  • You wake up at night and your mind keeps going round in circles.
  • Since the separation, you see your children less than you want to.
  • One beer after work turns into two or three.
  • At the weekend, one joint is no longer enough to wind down.
  • And who are you supposed to talk to about it?

Many men know moments like these. Often they show how much matters to you: your children, your relationship, your work. It is not only down to you that things are hard right now. And you don't have to wait until things really blow up.

What happens in counselling

You talk to a professional from social work, education or psychology who works a lot with men. First you look at what gives you strength. Then you sort out what is hard right now and find a small next step. You decide the topic and the pace.

“I'll sort it out myself.”
You have probably done that many times. Getting support is a skill too. In counselling, someone who knows many situations like yours thinks things through with you. You decide what you take away from it.
“I don't need therapy.”
Counselling is for crises, conflicts and decisions. You talk about your everyday life and what you want to change. There are no diagnoses here. If you need more, your counsellor will help you find the right support.
“Talking won't help anyway.”
You get your thoughts in order and a concrete next step. Many people notice what is really on their mind just by writing it down. After the first session, you decide whether to carry on.
“I don't have time for this.”
No travel, no waiting room. Write whenever it suits you, even late in the evening. A video session usually lasts 50 minutes.
“I lost my temper. Can I still come?”
Yes. You are responsible for what happened. But you don't have to deal with it alone. Counsellors who focus on violence talk openly about what happened and work with you so that it doesn't happen again.

Frequently asked questions

What does counselling cost?

At most counselling centres, nothing. You can give them money voluntarily, and it makes no difference to your counselling. Independent counsellors charge a sliding-scale fee: the first session is free, after that you pay 60, 90 or 120 euros after each session and choose the amount yourself. Each counsellor profile shows what applies.

How anonymous am I really?

On the platform, people only know you by your pseudonym. An email address for reminders is optional. During a video session, the video service sees technical data such as your IP address. If you give the centre money, it sees the name on your card. The platform always tells you about this beforehand.

Who will counsel me?

Professionals from counselling centres or in private practice. They come from social work, education, psychology or a similar profession. Their qualifications are checked before approval. Each counsellor profile shows how the person works.

How quickly will I get a reply?

There is no fixed response time. Your counsellor replies as soon as they can. You book a fixed appointment directly on the counsellor profile. The platform is not an emergency service. If you are in acute distress, call the Telefonseelsorge (German crisis line) or, in an emergency, 112.

Which languages can I get counselling in?

That depends on the counsellors. Right now counselling is available in German. In the directory you can filter by language.

Do I have to start with a video session?

No. You can also write first. Messages go back and forth in your room, without a fixed appointment. What else a counsellor offers is shown on their counsellor profile.

Do you counsel men?

Counselling centres and professionals in private practice get their own page in the directory, appointment booking and a separate room with video and whiteboard for each client. All for €15 per counsellor per month.

  • Your own counsellor profile with photo, focus areas and languages
  • Appointment booking for first sessions, also for men without real names
  • One room for each client with messages, appointments and your links
  • Two-factor sign-in with a password and a code from an app
  • Your centre stays visible with legal notice, privacy notice and logo
