On your website
How to show your free times for a first session on your own website. The booking itself still takes place on the platform.
What you get
A box “Appointment for a first session” appears on your website. Visitors click “Show free appointments” and see your next free times. Clicking a time leads to the booking on onlineberatung.digital. They enter their pseudonym and password there. Your website receives no data from this.
The times always come fresh from onlineberatung.digital. If you change your times, this shows immediately.
You find everything in “My workspace” under “Your page” and then “On your website”. You need a counsellor profile for this. If it is not yet public, the box shows “No appointments online right now”. On the right under “How it looks” you see a preview. On your website the box uses your website's font.
With WordPress
- Click “Download plugin”. The plugin is already set up for your counsellor profile.
- Upload the ZIP file in WordPress: Plugins, Add New Plugin, Upload Plugin. Then activate it.
- Insert the “Appointments for a first session” block on a page. Or copy the shortcode with “Copy” and place it where you want it.
- Add to your privacy notice.
With the second shortcode you choose your own colour for the buttons, and the booking opens in a new window.
You download a new version of the plugin on the same page and upload it in the same way. WordPress then asks whether it should replace the old version.
With other site builders
For Jimdo, Wix, Squarespace or your own site, copy the HTML under “Other site builders”. Paste it where the box should appear.
This way your site loads the script directly from onlineberatung.digital as soon as someone visits it. If you want to avoid that, take the file termine.js from the plugin. Put it on your server and enter its address in the HTML.
Privacy
The box sets no cookie and stores nothing in the browser. With the plugin, your visitors' browser only fetches the times from onlineberatung.digital after the click on “Show free appointments”. The IP address reaches onlineberatung.digital in the process, as with any visit to a website. The booking then takes place on onlineberatung.digital, and its privacy notice applies.
It is different with the HTML snippet. There the browser loads the script from onlineberatung.digital as soon as your page is opened, even if nobody clicks. The IP address then already reaches onlineberatung.digital at that point. In this case the suggested text for your privacy notice does not quite fit. Add this point, or put the file termine.js on your own server.
Under “Suggested text for your privacy notice” you find a text to copy. This is not legal advice. Adapt it to your privacy notice and have it checked if in doubt.
Tip: Enter your times first, see Times and video link. Without times the box shows no free appointments.
