The genogram
What a genogram is and how you draw along in the appointment and between appointments.
What it is about
A genogram shows your family across several generations: who belongs to whom, who is close to whom and where things are difficult. Your counsellor creates it. You draw it together.
In the appointment
In the appointment your counsellor can choose “Genogram” at the top. You then see it on your screen and can draw along. Tap a person, and the buttons Partner, Child, Parents, Sibling, Relationship and Details appear at the bottom. The new person appears in the right place straight away, and you only add the name. A first name is enough.
Between appointments
If your counsellor has shared it, your room shows the box “Your genogram”.
With “Open” you keep drawing whenever you like. You both see every change. Your counsellor can bring back earlier versions, so you cannot break anything.
Who sees it
Only you and your counsellor see the genogram, and in the appointment also guests who take part. It is deleted together with your room. You can download it as an image or PDF under “More”.
